AED 295.00

Classic Speyside single malt energy, but with extra honeyed depth and dried-fruit richness that makes your next pour feel like a treat, not homework. From Scotland’s Speyside, The Glenrothes is for anyone who likes their Scotch whisky fruit-led and dessert-ish, the kind you’ll happily sip neat after dinner (and it still holds up in a proper Old Fashioned)!

Description

Speyside single malt that leans into juicy fruit and soft spice, the kind of Scotch whisky you can pour for a newcomer and still enjoy as a seasoned sipper.

When you want something comfortingly rich without the smoke, The Glenrothes is a great move. Speyside is famous for elegant, fruit-forward malts, and this bottle plays right into that lane. Think orchard fruit, sweet baking spice, and that cozy, after-dinner vibe that makes you slow down and actually taste what’s in the glass.

It’s an easy “neat” whisky, but it’s not boring. Give it a minute in the glass, take a sip, then take another. You’ll notice how it shifts from sweet to spicy to gently oaky, which is exactly why people get hooked on Speyside in the first place.

  • Nose: Honey, vanilla, ripe pear, and a touch of warm spice
  • Taste: Orchard fruit and caramel up front, then cinnamon, toasted oak, and a mellow richness that coats the mouth
  • Finish: Medium-long, gently drying, with lingering vanilla and spice

How to drink it: Start neat or with a single cube, then try it in an Old Fashioned with orange peel. It brings the fruit, so the cocktail doesn’t taste flat.

If Glenfiddich 12 is your comfort zone and you want something a bit more dessert-leaning (more honey and baked fruit, less “green apple”), this is a very fun step sideways.

Speyside malts are also the easiest “gateway” into Scotch for a reason. No peat smoke to fight with, just flavour you can actually name. Pour it for a friend who says they “don’t get whisky” and watch them suddenly have opinions.

Fun Fact: The Glenrothes built its reputation by focusing on vintage releases, bottling whisky from specific years rather than leaning only on age statements.
