Select Cask is built for people who want the classic Laphroaig punch without it being a one-note smoke bomb. You get layers, char, salt, and a streak of vanilla and light fruit that rounds out the edges. It’s the kind of whisky that makes you stop mid-sip and go, “Wait, what was that flavour?”
Nose: Campfire smoke, iodine and seaweed, with a softer hit of vanilla and toasted oak.
Taste: Peat smoke up front, then smoked bacon, peppery spice, and a sweeter middle of caramel and light citrus.
Finish: Long and drying, salty smoke lingers, plus charred wood and a faint sweetness that hangs on.
