Casarena 505 Blend ( Mbec / Cab / Sau / Mrlt )
AED 44.00
Big, dark-fruit Argentina red that tastes like Malbec grew up and brought three friends. This dry blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot layers blackberry jam, plum, and a little peppery edge, with enough structure to handle burgers, steak, or a Netflix-and-pizza night!

Pour this when you want a bold, crowd-pleasing red that still has layers to chase. Casarena 505 is a dry Argentina red wine blend built on Malbec, then backed up by Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot, so you get juicy dark fruit up front and a more serious, food-friendly backbone underneath.
If straight Malbec is your go-to, this is the “one step deeper” move. Malbec brings the plush plum and blackberry, Cabernet adds grip and blackcurrant bite, Syrah throws in a peppery, smoky vibe, and Merlot rounds the whole thing out so it feels easy to drink, not hard work.
It’s the kind of bottle you open and immediately start planning what to eat with it. Not because you have to, but because it makes everything on the table taste more like itself.
- Appearance: Deep ruby, leaning toward purple at the core.
- Nose: Ripe blackberry and plum, with hints of blackcurrant and a little black pepper.
- Palate: Dark-fruit first, then a firmer, lightly spicy frame from Cabernet and Syrah that keeps it balanced and food-ready.
- Body: Medium to full-bodied, with a satisfying weight without feeling heavy.
- Finish: Dark berries linger, plus a savoury, peppery echo that makes you want another sip.
Food pairing: Go straight for grilled steak or lamb kofta, smash burgers with caramelized onions, or a mushroom pizza with extra chili flakes.
This is also a great “bring to a dinner” red. It’s familiar enough for Cabernet drinkers, juicy enough for Malbec fans, and interesting enough to keep the wine nerd at the table busy guessing what’s in the blend.
Want the easiest serve? Pour it in a big glass, give it a few minutes to open up, and let the spice and dark fruit do their thing while you pretend you totally planned this pairing.
Fun Fact: The “505” name is a nod to Casarena’s vineyard blocks, basically a little wink to the exact place the grapes come from, not a random number they slapped on the label.
