Chartron Trebuchet Chablis 75cl

AED 135.00

Bright, flinty, and lemon-zest crisp, this is classic dry Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy (France), the style that makes oysters taste even better. Chartron Trébuchet keeps it clean and zippy, with that signature chalky-mineral snap, think Sauvignon Blanc energy, but with more texture.

Description

Clean, zippy, and properly refreshing, this is dry Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy (France), the kind of white that wakes your palate up and makes food taste better.

If you’ve ever tried Chardonnay and thought it was all butter and vanilla, Chablis is the plot twist. It’s Chardonnay with the volume turned down on oak and the brightness turned way up, so you get citrus, green fruit, and that stony, seaside minerality people get obsessed with.

  • Appearance: Pale straw, bright and clear.
  • Nose: Lemon peel, green apple, white flowers, plus a flinty, “wet stone” edge that screams Chablis.
  • Palate: Crisp acidity and citrus-led flavours (think lemon and lime) with pear and a light saline note.
  • Body: Light to medium-bodied, more about tension and freshness than weight.
  • Finish: Clean, chalky-mineral and mouthwatering, it practically asks for another sip.

Food pairing: Oysters or grilled prawns, sushi and sashimi, or a goat cheese salad with lemony dressing.

This is a great “one shelf smarter” pick if you usually grab Sauvignon Blanc and want something just as crisp, but a little more layered and textured. Also, it’s a sneaky weapon for dinner parties, it makes seafood, salads, and creamy sauces feel instantly more dialed-in.

Serve it well-chilled and keep it simple, good glass, good company, and maybe a plate of something salty. It’s the kind of bottle that disappears fast on a Tuesday night because it’s so easy to drink, but still feels like you chose it on purpose.

Chartron Trébuchet is a Burgundy house known for bottling wines that lean into clarity and regional character, so you taste Chablis, not a bunch of winemaking tricks.

Fun Fact: That famous “flinty, chalky” Chablis vibe comes from the area’s ancient seabed soils, which is why it’s basically seafood’s best friend.
