AED 85.00

Sweet South African white wine with ripe peach, pear and a little grapey lift, made for easy sipping when you want something chilled, fruity and totally unfussy. Description

Soft, fruity South African sweet white that doesn’t make you work for it. This is the bottle to grab when you want a chilled white wine that tastes like ripe orchard fruit, sunny afternoons and zero homework.

Four Cousins comes from South Africa’s Western Cape, with roots in Robertson, a region known for generous sunshine and easy-drinking wines that lean bright, juicy and crowd-friendly. This natural sweet white is best thought of as a sweet white blend, a gentler next step if you usually reach for Moscato, off-dry Riesling or a fruitier Chenin Blanc.

  • Appearance: Pale straw with a clean, bright look in the glass.
  • Nose: Ripe peach, pear drops and fresh grape, with a little floral sweetness that makes it instantly inviting.
  • Palate: Sweet and juicy, with soft acidity keeping the fruit lively rather than flat. Expect peach, tropical fruit and a light honeyed edge.
  • Body: Light to medium-bodied, easy to chill down and pour without overthinking it.
  • Finish: Fresh, fruity and gently sweet, with pear and grape notes hanging around for a cheerful little encore.
  • Food pairings: Spicy chicken wings, Cape Malay curry, salty halloumi, fruit salad or a lazy cheese board with creamy brie.

Drink it well chilled when the mood is casual: weekend braai, game night, beach-house snacks, or Tuesday night on the couch when dry white wine feels a bit too serious. It’s also a smart pick for mixed groups because the sweet, fruit-forward style is instantly understandable, even for people who say they’re “not really wine people.”

If Sauvignon Blanc feels too sharp and Chardonnay feels too heavy, this lands in a friendlier zone. It’s all about juicy fruit, soft texture and a chilled glass that disappears faster than you planned.

Fun Fact: Four Cousins was started by four actual cousins from the Retief family, part of the Van Loveren story in Robertson, which makes the name refreshingly literal for once.
