Jean Marc Brocard Chablis Grand Cru 2018
AED 450.00
Big, serious Chablis for when you want Chardonnay with bite, not butter. From France’s Chablis Grand Cru vineyards and the stellar 2018 vintage, this is dry, mineral-driven white wine that tastes like lemon, oyster shell, and a cold stone cellar, in the best way.

This is what happens when Chardonnay grows up in Chablis Grand Cru country. Jean Marc Brocard’s 2018 is dry, laser-focused, and ridiculously satisfying if you love white wine with real tension (think lemon, chalky minerality, and that salty sea-breeze vibe).
If most Chardonnay you’ve tried leans creamy and oaky, this is your palate reset. Chablis Grand Cru is the top tier of the region, and you can taste why, it’s more layered, more intense, and it hangs around long after the sip.
- Appearance: Pale gold, bright and clear.
- Nose: Fresh lemon zest, green apple, white flowers, plus that classic Chablis note that smells like wet stone and sea spray.
- Palate: Dry Chardonnay with bright, mouth-watering acidity, a tight mineral core, and citrus fruit that feels precise, not loud.
- Body: Medium-bodied, with a sleek, firm shape rather than a creamy one.
- Finish: Long and salty-mineral, with citrus and chalk lingering like a great punchline.
Food move: pour it with oysters (obviously), grilled prawns with lemon, or roast chicken with crispy skin and a simple pan sauce.
This is a proper Fine Wine pick for France white wine fans, the kind of bottle you open when you want to impress without overthinking it, or when you want to see what “serious Chablis” actually means in the glass.
If you’re usually a Sauvignon Blanc drinker (Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Marlborough), this is a smart next step. You still get that crisp, refreshing energy, but with more depth and a mineral backbone that makes food taste better.
2018 is a vintage that gives you ripeness and clarity at the same time, so you get generous citrus and orchard fruit, but it stays sharp and structured.
Fun Fact: Jean Marc Brocard is one of the names people look for in Chablis because the house built its reputation on making Chardonnay that tastes like the place it’s from, not like a vanilla-scented barrel.
