Strathisla 12 Year Old 1L

AED 295.00

Honeyed Speyside single malt with that cosy baked-apple vibe and a whisper of spice, the kind of Scotch you’ll keep reaching for when you want “one more pour.” Strathisla’s 12 years of aging brings real depth without getting heavy, so it’s a killer neat sip and a smart step up if Glenfiddich 12 is your comfort zone!

Description

Honey, orchard fruit, and a gentle malt warmth, this is Speyside single malt whisky that makes “just one dram” feel like a lie you’re happy to tell. Strathisla 12 Year Old is the kind of Scotch that’s easy to love on night one, then gets more interesting the more you pay attention.

If you’ve ever wanted a whisky that tastes like the classic idea of Scotch (without the smoke taking over), this is the move. That 12-year age statement matters here because it gives the spirit time to round out, so you get a richer, calmer sip, not a sharp one. Great for newer single malt drinkers, still satisfying for the person who’s tried a few and now wants more flavour layering.

  • Nose: Honeyed malt, ripe pear and apple, a little vanilla, and a soft floral note that screams Speyside.
  • Taste: Toffee and baked orchard fruit up front, then a warming spice, think cinnamon and a touch of nutty malt.
  • Finish: Medium-long and gently drying, with lingering honey, vanilla, and a last flicker of spice.

How to drink it: start neat to catch the honey-and-apple core, then add a tiny splash of water to pull out more fruit and soften the spice. If you’re mixing, it actually holds up in a Whisky Highball, which is a fancy way of saying “whisky + soda,” super refreshing and dangerously easy.

Speyside is famous for crowd-pleasing malts that lean fruity and sweet, and this one plays that game properly. It’s not trying to be a peat monster. It’s a classic, dialled-in single malt with enough character to keep your glass interesting, but not so loud it hijacks your night.

Discovery nudge: if Glenfiddich 12 or Glenlivet 12 is your usual, this is one shelf over in flavour, familiar orchard fruit, but with a slightly deeper honeyed, malty backbone.

Fun Fact: Strathisla is one of Speyside’s oldest working distilleries, and it’s a big reason this style became the “classic” Scotch profile so many people chase.
