Want a Tuscan red that gives you Chianti energy, then turns the dial way up? Tignanello 2022 is a dry, full-bodied Toscana IGT from Tuscany, built on Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc adding extra grip, depth, and dark-fruited swagger.

This is the Super Tuscan people name-drop for a reason, but don’t let that make it feel untouchable. If you already like Chianti Classico and want something broader, darker, and more layered, this is a very tasty next step.

• Appearance: Deep ruby red, bright and polished in the glass.
• Nose: Black cherry, ripe plum, and redcurrant up front, with hints of dried herbs, cedar, tobacco leaf, and a little warm spice.
• Palate: Dry and concentrated, with juicy dark fruit, bright Tuscan acidity, and firm but finely woven tannins that give it structure without bullying your mouth.
• Body: Full-bodied, with enough freshness to keep the richness in check.
• Finish: Long and savoury, moving from cherry and cassis into spice, leather, and a clean mineral edge.
• Food pairings: Bistecca alla Fiorentina, slow-cooked beef ragù with pappardelle, or roast lamb with rosemary and garlic.
