Laphroaig Four Oak 1L

Original price was: AED 275.00.Current price is: AED 225.00.

Big Islay single malt energy, smoky peat, sea spray, and a hit of sweet oak from being matured in four different cask types. Think bonfire smoke, salted caramel, and a little medicinal edge that Laphroaig fans chase. If you want Scotch whisky that doesn’t play nice and makes your cocktails taste louder, this one earns the shelf space.

Description

This is Islay single malt that shows up in boots, not loafers. Four Oak takes Laphroaig’s famous peat smoke and layers it with extra oak influence, so you get that coastal, medicinal punch, plus richer vanilla and spice that keep unfolding sip after sip.

Why it matters, the “four oak” bit isn’t trivia. More time in different casks means more flavour angles. Smoke gets wrapped in sweetness, then pulled back by salt and spice. If you like your whisky bold and a little wild, you’re in the right place.

  • Nose: Campfire smoke, sea air, iodine, vanilla, and toasted coconut.
  • Taste: Peaty smoke up front, then salted caramel, charred oak, pepper, and a citrus zing that keeps it lively.
  • Finish: Long and smoky with drying oak, sweet vanilla, and a salty, medicinal echo.

It’s still unmistakably Laphroaig, that tarry peat, ocean spray, and that love-it-or-obsess-over-it medicinal note, but the extra oak brings a rounder centre. The smoke doesn’t disappear, it just gets more to do. That’s the hook here: intensity, but with layers.

If you’re building a home bar, this is a solid “statement Scotch.” It stands out next to Speyside bottles, it makes a peat fan grin, and it’s a great pick when someone says they’ve never had an Islay whisky before and you want to show them what the fuss is about.

It also plays well when you want whisky flavour to lead, not whisper. Think smoky highballs, a bolder whisky sour, or any cocktail where peat and oak can cut through citrus and sugar without getting lost.

Islay matters here. That coastal environment shows up in the glass, salty, briny, a little seaweed-like, and it’s exactly what makes this feel different from mainland Scotch whisky. You’re not just drinking “smoke,” you’re drinking a place.

Fun Fact: Laphroaig is one of the few distilleries with its own royal warrant, Prince Charles famously asked for it by name.
