African Passion Chenin Blanc

Zippy, food-friendly, and dangerously easy to finish, this South African Chenin Blanc is the kind of crisp white wine you keep in the fridge for “we’re cooking something” nights.

Chenin Blanc is South Africa’s unofficial superstar grape, and it’s loved for one simple reason, it can be bright and refreshing without tasting thin. This bottle aims straight at that sweet spot, plenty of fruit, plenty of lift, and a dry finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

• Appearance: Pale straw in the glass, clean and bright.
• Nose: Fresh green apple and pear up front, with a squeeze of citrus.
• Palate: Dry and crisp, with juicy orchard fruit and a refreshing snap of acidity.
• Body: Light to medium-bodied, easy-drinking but not watery.
• Finish: Clean and tidy, with a lingering citrus peel note.

Food pairing, go for grilled prawns with lemon, peri-peri chicken, or a big Greek salad loaded with feta and cucumber. Also elite with chips and guac when dinner is “snack plate.”

If your comfort zone is Sauvignon Blanc and you want something just as fresh but a touch more rounded, Chenin Blanc is a perfect next step. Same bright vibe, slightly softer edges, and it plays ridiculously well with spicy and salty food.
