Bourgogne Hautes Cot Beaune Rouge
AED 215.00
Bright, red-fruit Burgundy Pinot Noir vibes without the intimidation. This French red comes from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, the cooler hills above Beaune, so you get juicy cherry and raspberry energy with a savoury edge that plays stupidly well with food. If you like lighter reds (think Pinot Noir with a bit more crunch), this is your weeknight upgrade!

Light-ish red, big personality. This is Burgundy Pinot Noir from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, the higher, cooler slopes above Beaune that keep the fruit fresh and the vibe super drinkable.
If you’ve ever wanted to “get” Burgundy without dropping into a rabbit hole of tiny villages and tongue-twister labels, this is a very smart place to start. It’s a dry French red wine that’s all about lift, bright red fruit, and that little savoury twist that makes you reach for another sip.
- Appearance: Clear ruby red, light-to-medium intensity
- Nose: Cherry and raspberry up front, with a gentle earthy, forest-floor kind of note
- Palate: Dry, red-berry focused, bright acidity that keeps it lively, with fine, lightly grippy tannins
- Body: Medium-bodied (more agile than heavy)
- Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering red fruit and a subtle savoury echo
Food pairing: Roast chicken with herbs, mushroom pasta (cream or no cream), or a simple charcuterie board with pâté and cornichons.
This is the kind of red you open when you want something that works with dinner instead of dominating it. It’s also a killer “bring to a friend’s place” bottle because it pleases Pinot Noir people and converts Cabernet drinkers who secretly want something lighter.
Serving tip: give it a quick chill for 10 to 15 minutes, especially in UAE weather. It makes the fruit pop and keeps the finish snappy.
France does Pinot Noir in a very particular way, less jam, more freshness, more nuance. If you’re used to New World Pinot that leans sweet-fruity, this is the next step toward that classic Burgundy style where the savoury notes actually make the fruit taste even brighter.
Fun Fact: “Hautes-Côtes” literally means “high slopes,” and that extra elevation is a big reason this style tastes so fresh and energetic.
