If you’ve been reaching for Hennessy VSOP and want to try one shelf over, this is a very safe, very tasty detour. Courvoisier leans elegant rather than heavy, with a bright fruit core that keeps each sip lively.

• Nose: Ripe peach, apricot, soft vanilla, light floral notes and a little toasted oak.
• Taste: Orchard fruit up front, then caramel, toasted almond, baking spice and a rounded, silky texture.
• Finish: Warm and gently nutty, with vanilla and oak spice hanging around just long enough.
