Jamsheed Pyren Syrah 75cl
AED 219.00
Bold, peppery Syrah that tastes like you just upgraded your Tuesday steak night. From Australia, Jamsheed’s Pyrenees red leans into dark berries, cracked black pepper and that savoury edge Syrah fans chase, with a fresher, more lifted feel than big Barossa styles. Pour it with a quick decant and watch it wake up.

Want a full-bodied red wine that brings flavour without feeling like a fruit bomb? This Australian Syrah from the Pyrenees is the kind of bottle you open when you’re craving dark fruit, pepper, and a savoury, food-ready vibe.
The Pyrenees (in Victoria) is a sweet spot for Syrah. You get ripeness, but you also get lift. That means you can actually finish the glass and want the next one, not feel like you just drank a jam jar.
Tasting notes
- Appearance: Deep ruby, trending toward purple at the rim.
- Nose: Blackberry and plum first, then cracked black pepper, dried herbs, and a little smoky, meaty savouriness.
- Palate: Dark berry fruit up front, bright enough to keep it lively, with grippy tannins that make food taste better.
- Body: Medium to full-bodied.
- Finish: Long and savoury, with pepper and dark fruit hanging around after every sip.
Food pairing: Pour this with pepper-crusted steak, lamb chops with rosemary, or a proper mushroom burger (extra char, please).
If you like Shiraz but you’re bored of super-ripe, heavy styles, this is your next step. Think of it as the more athletic, savoury side of Australian Shiraz, still generous, just with better tension and more “one more sip” energy.
Best move, give it 15 to 30 minutes of air (a quick decant or even a vigorous swirl in the glass). It opens up fast, the fruit gets brighter, and the peppery Syrah character really starts showing off.
You don’t need a special occasion here. This is a weeknight dinner hero that also holds its own if you’re bringing a bottle to someone who thinks they only like “big reds.”
Fun Fact: Jamsheed is a small, hands-on Australian producer known for leaning into site-driven Syrah, the kind of winemaking that lets the Pyrenees speak instead of burying it under heaviness.
