Description

Bright, dry, and ridiculously easy to like, this Lebanese white from the Bekaa Valley is the kind of bottle that makes you wonder why you aren’t drinking more wine from Lebanon.

It’s made in the Bekaa (Lebanon’s most famous wine region), where warm days build flavour and cooler nights help keep things fresh, so you get real fruit plus that zippy lift that makes a white wine feel alive.

  • Appearance: Pale straw with a clean shine.
  • Nose: Lemon zest and orange blossom, then pear and green apple with a light herbal edge.
  • Palate: Dry and crisp, citrus-led, with juicy orchard fruit in the middle and a refreshing, mouth-watering finish.
  • Body: Medium-bodied, not skinny, not heavy, just easy balance.
  • Finish: Clean and lightly saline, the kind that makes food taste better.

Food pairing:Make it a mezze night, think hummus and grilled halloumi, lemony chicken tawook, or shrimp with garlic and parsley.

This is a smart pick when you want something you can pour for everyone without overthinking it, but still feel like you brought something new to the table. Serve it well-chilled, then let it warm a touch in the glass and you’ll notice the fruit get rounder and a little more floral.

If your fridge usually has Sauvignon Blanc, this is a great next step, similar freshness and citrus energy, with a slightly softer, more Mediterranean feel that loves grilled food.

Lebanon’s modern wine scene has been quietly crushing it for years, and bottles like this are the proof, approachable, food-friendly, and way more interesting than the usual routine.

Fun Fact: Massaya was founded by the Ghosn family with help from a Bordeaux winemaking legend, one of the reasons this Bekaa Valley label has such a cult following.
